RTS' transmission extension tailshaft housings are designed to fit both  RTS or other Aftermarket and the stock GM transmissions. They're up to five times stronger than stock, and are offered in either a roller bearing or bushed design. They are assembled in-house and include a brand new seal also.

What's the difference between a bushed or bearing design?

  • A bronze bushing support provides smooth operation and is better suited to mild Street/strip cars where lighter loads and lower speeds are typically produced. They are cheaper to replace due to their simpler design and are easier to install than a roller bearing.
  • A roller bearing tailhousing is ideal for higher load, high-speed applications where low friction and long service life are important. These are typically used in high performance applications (such as drag racing), as they are designed to handle heavier radial and axial loads in comparison to a bushed tailhousing.

Suits OEM Powerglide & most aftermarket cases such as RTS, Reid, ATI, TSI and JW.
